As proud parents of 3 terrific found young adults who still get complements on their Bar/Bat Mitzvah presentations, we can honestly say that Cantor Glenn Sherman takes all the credit for properly preparing each of them. His charming and humorous personality combined with his firm yet friendly manner put us and our children quickly at ease and we knew from the very first lesson that we were in excellent hands. Cantor Sherman understood each of our children’s strengths and weaknesses and used different approaches for each of them to teach them their Torah portions and guide them through the Shabbat Services and prayers. The results were more than satisfying for our children, our family, our congregation and guests. In fact our children were so well versed that they led the entire Friday evening and Saturday morning services. They chanted their Torah portions with the proper melodies and inflection, they spoke clearly and with great poise and emotion as they explained their portions and significance in English. They led the Congregation in prayer and song. It was an uplifting experience for all. It is quite clear that Cantor Sherman loves working with kids. He understands them and helps them reach their full potential as they become a Bar/Bat Mitzvah. He guides his students to develop their own self-confidence and mature through this coming of age process. We are grateful to Cantor Sherman for working with our children to make their Bar/Bat Mitzvah experience positive, enjoyable and memorable. We highly recommend Cantor Sherman’s services.

You can correct them add to them or leave it as you think proper!
Then you can write your point of view. and we can paste it all together, and then post-it!

Cantor Glenn Sherman, was terrific three times (with my 3 kids.)

They where well versed for leading the whole Shabbat services.

They knew well their parts, how to pray, chant and to behave in a proper way in front of the Congregation. Their public speaking was rehearsed many times so that their public speaking was perfectly clear, loud and well presented.

They grasped the meaning and the purpose of this big effort.

We were lucky to engage his services and even under pressure He succeeded in getting them through. (They did struggle while preparing for their Bar/Batmithvah, since all this was done during the demanding school year.)

He was firm but kind with them in moment of need. He can be also very funny and very charming.) He understands and loves kids, and he embraces their potential and helps them shine and cherish this lovely moment of accomplishments.

He definitely gave them the confidence to act as mature kids coming into mature age.

I think that the best compliment to Him is that once all was successfully set and done, the kids where happy, proud, and very friendly and grateful towards Him for being their mentor.
